The Stardust Speed Club would like to invite you to attend the Palm Beach Challenge to be held January 17-19, 2009. The contest will be sanctioned by USARS and all USARS rules will apply.
The indoor events will include a Elite, Novice and a Rookie individual events. Skaters may skate two divisions i.e. Rookie and Novice, Novice and Elite, or Elite division and Challenge-up. Only 2 person relays will be held. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all Elite Divisions, Novice and Rookie Divisions. All Relays will receive awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. All events will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009.
The floor is 80 X 180 with fresh plastic. Atlantis Skateway has plenty of seating and full snackbar for skaters and spectators plus an officials and coaches complementary refreshment room.
The outdoor events will be part of the International Racing Series: RACE 2 skated on the 200 M bank track and Race 3 skated on the 500 and 800 M road track. Ranking points will be issued for both bank track and road races. Time trial events will begin at 6 pm, Saturday, Jan. 17 at Brian Piccolo Park. Bank Track and Road will follow on Sunday and Monday.
Deadline for all entries is January 12, 2009

The Stardust Speed Club would like to invite you to attend the Palm Beach Challenge National Out-door Invitational to be held January 17-19, 2009. The contest will be sanctioned by USARS.

There will be a 3 man and 3 lady relay on the track and a 3 mixed relay on the road. Mixed relay must have at least on female.

There will be indoor practice at Atlantis on Wednesday (6:30PM) if the weather allows us to. Thursday outdoor at Okeechobee (5PM), Saturday at Atlantis-4:30pm, no outdoor on Sunday due to the banquet. Please see post below regarding the banquet.

End of the Year Banquet
The SFSL banquet will be held on Sunday, August 24th at SkateTown in Ft. Pierce. The awards ceremony will begin promptly at 1PM. If you are receiving an award, there is no admission price, for all others it is $10 for adults and $5 for children. The price includes a bar b que and a social skate. You will also receive your league ranking numbers. Here is a list of Stardust award recipients:

WOW! Time flies!
There is a lot that has happened since we last posted, regionals, outdoor nationals, and indoor nationals have all come and gone. This is the appropriate time to recognize our Stardust skaters who have accomplished a lot in the last few months. The Blue Ridge Winter Invitational will be held February 15 thru February 18, 2008. Events to be held at The Star City Skating Center, Roanoke, Virginia.
Friday, February 15, all Novice division and relays.
Saturday, February 16 Standard & Pro Elite division races.
Sunday February 17, all relays.
Monday, February 18 if needed for relays.
All Standard division, Tiny Tot, Primary, Juvenile, Elementary, Freshman, Sophmore, Junior, Senior, Classic, Master, Veteran, Grand Veteran and Sr Grand Veteran, Pro Elite Men and Ladies.
All Novice, Juvenile thru Masters.
All Standard and Novice 2 Person Relays.
Three Person Relays: Juvenile, Freshman, Senior, and Master.
We have eliminated the 4 person relays. But we will give all the standard skaters 3 division races. The longest one being on the Nira track. Pros will run all their races on the NIRA track. First event standard $35 and $10 for each additional event.
Pro first event will be $50 and $10 for each additional event.
Cash prizes to all top 3 placements in Standard, Novice and Pros.
Awards for all relays.
